What is THE NINA EFFECT?!?
As many of you know we lost a valued member of our LACAC family on October 30, 2022 in a tragic accident. Our sweet, funny, vibrant Nina Allen was one of a kind. Her heart, her smile and her spirit will forever be ingrained in all that we do at the Longview Animal Care and Adoption Center and in our entire Longview, TX community. We know so many of you have grieved with us these past few months as we've tried to process her loss and move forward in a way that would make her proud. All of your kind gestures, words of encouragement and the incredible outpouring of love we've received has truly shown what an impact Nina made on so many.
We've taken some time to reflect on Nina's life and what was important to her and we've vowed to continue her path to LIVE with PURPOSE. Nina approached everything and everyone with an open-mind, an open-heart and gave all that she had to helping those in need. Our shelter family along with her Mom, Heather, have come up with some immediate ways to honor Nina's memory and continue her life's work to speak and act for those who need us. We officially rolled out #THENINAEFFECT campaign in February. This is a call to action for ALL of US for ALL of 2023 and beyond. We challenge you to approach each day like Nina-- LIVE with purpose. LOVE all around you. GIVE your time. HELP those who need a hand.
