Volunteers make a difference! We rely on the hard work, love, and commitment of our volunteers!
Thank you for your interest in volunteering at the shelter. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we have suspended new volunteer orientation and training. We are always happy to have new volunteers and are hoping to get back to normal soon. In the meantime, if you fill out an application, we will email you as soon as our volunteer program is hosting a new orientation.
Volunteer Requirements:
Must be at least 13 years of age. Anyone 13-17 MUST be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times.
Complete our 2 hour in person volunteer orientation. These orientations are held once a month here at the shelter and will be posted on our volunteer website the month before. You must register for orientation ahead of time with our volunteer coordinator.
All prospects must also complete in person training with one of our volunteer team leaders. This training can be scheduled after you have completed the orientation.
All volunteers must wear clothing appropriate for physical activity. There will be no shorts above the knee and no open toe shoes.
All volunteers must be team players and work well with others. Also understanding that others may not be as physically fit and able to do as much.
